Before the first appointment

Ask the questions that matter to you.

The consultation is a good time to talk through availability, payment, insurance, and anything that might affect whether care feels workable.

If using insurance, you may also want to contact the member-services number on your insurance card to ask about outpatient mental health benefits, your deductible, copays or coinsurance, and whether prior authorization is required.

Lisa can explain her practice policies before you schedule. You should have a clear understanding of the financial arrangement before your first full session.
