What to expect

You can begin without having it all figured out.

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. Knowing what comes next can make the first step simpler and give you more room to focus on whether the relationship feels right.

The process

From first contact to ongoing care.

01

Reach out in the way that feels easiest.

Call or text Lisa at 570-519-8818. You can say as much or as little as you are comfortable sharing. A simple “I’m interested in a consultation” is enough.

02

Have a complimentary 15-minute consultation.

This brief conversation helps Lisa understand what you are looking for and gives you space to ask about approach, availability, fees, insurance, or anything else on your mind.

03

Meet for your first 55-minute session.

Your first session is an opportunity to share more of your story, talk about what is most important right now, and begin shaping goals together. You will not be expected to tell everything at once.

04

Build a rhythm that supports you.

As therapy continues, Lisa will check in about what is helping, what needs to change, and how the work is connecting to life outside the office. The process remains collaborative.

Inside a session

A conversation with purpose—and space to breathe.

There is no single correct way to “do” therapy.

You may talk through a recent experience, notice a pattern from the past, learn a practical coping strategy, or sit with a feeling that has not had much room elsewhere. Lisa may ask questions, offer observations, or suggest an exercise, but you remain an active part of deciding what is useful.

Some sessions feel relieving. Others may feel challenging or quiet. All of that can be part of honest work, and you are welcome to talk openly about how the process feels.
